A Girl Can Dream... Can't She?

So Something strange happened to me the other day. I was browsing on Pinterest and voila, I came across this photograph. This is my dream home. The white fence, yellow siding, full green yard, big tree in the front, a white porch and large window in the front. It is everything I've always dreamed of. I picture it being on the road that Steve Martin's house was on in Father of the Bride (weird, I know) with the brick road and cheery, friendly neighbors. It is perfect, magnificent, marvelous, gorgeous, and dreamy. It made me so excited that I had to really calm myself down. I mean I'm only 22. Pump the brakes, creepy. I still have plenty of years in crap apartments and homes until something like this is ever reached. Seeing this home made me realize where my priorities are in life. Tots, cozy gorgeous home, and a loving husband.
O yes, dream, dream, dream.

Obsessions

New Minnetonka slippers. My mother bought them and never wore them... so they disappeared from her closet. I mean, she has three other pair around the house so I doubt she will miss these. They are phenomenal and keep my insanely freezing cold toes warm all the time. Thank you mom for your picky taste in slippers!
My darling dear, Graham bought me this adorable kindle case all by himself. This is impressive. 1. Elephants are my favorite. 2. I was in desperate need of this kindle case. This is saving me from carrying around my kindle around in the box. Yes, I really was doing this.  3. He ordered this from Etsy. Still in awe. What a peanut.
Remembering you need to make your boyfriend a dessert and only having an hour to do it... well this is the answer. It's a twist on rice krispie treats with cocco puffs and peanut butter. It is amazing and the easiest thing ever. I came off like Martha Stewart and he was very pleased. Perfecto.

My New Man

I know, I know, soak up the amazing perfect baby nugget face and body. I know this is a bit late but please forgive me because I just created this beauty of a blog... On December 7, 2011 at 11:12 am. my amazing sister and brother-in-law welcomed the most beautiful baby boy ever created into this world. His name is Grayson Davis McCurry, he weighed 6 lbs 15 oz and was 19.5 inches long. I cannot quite describe the feeling that overwhelmed me as I heard my mother scream into the phone, "It's a boy!" I have never felt more blissfully happy. I cried and cried and cried... then when I regained my composure I sobbed, for an embarrassing amount of time. Might I add I was at work in front of a LOT of people. Sadly, my sister and her husband live in South Carolina so I could not be there for the birth, but I was fortunate enough to spend a full week at their home a few days after during my Christmas Break. That week was EXCELLENT. I was able to shower the new mommy, daddy, and nugget with love and soak up all the warm weather. I miss them all terribly now that I'm back home and the only way I'm surviving is skype. Thank the sweet lord above for web cams. Feel free to bring up this post whenever you need to brighten your day... just look at my man!

New Year New Blog

As someone who is always online searching for new blogs to browse and follow I thought I should create one myself. What better time to start then a brand new year? I'm not sure how this will go and I'm trying to take baby steps (being a perfectionist makes this difficult.) As cliche as it sounds I always appreciate a new fresh start that the new year brings. It offers a clean slate, a new beginning, and a clear head. This is exactly what people need around this time of year, what with all those sugar cookies we have all devoured the past few weeks. If you eat them in one bite the calories don't count... right? My New Years was spent with three of my favorite people in the world, a night out and a darling kiss at midnight. Not too shabby if I do say so myself. Now for the rough part... my new years resolutions. I try to set goals that are attainable and reasonable so that I have realistic goals to work towards. My first resolution is to just breathe! I need to stop overanalyzing and take one day at a time. I spend far too much of my life worrying on things I have little to no control of. All I need to remember is to find joy in each day and relax. My second resolution is to cut back on sweets. This isn't necessarily new for me. I have a sweet tooth that makes Willy Wonka look like a sissy. My plan of action is taking my sugar in healthier forms. Such as fruits, raisins, honey, etc. Put down the cup cakes! I can do this!

I hope you all had a wonderful New Year and are making goals for a healthier happier you!

My hunky fella and I.
